What If My Purpose Is Freedom?

June 15, 2026·3 min read

I think my purpose is to do whatever the fuck I want, honestly.

Not in a reckless way.

In a free way.

I'm in a phase of my life where I'm questioning everything.

Do I actually want the life I've been told to want?

Or do I want the life that feels true to me?

I want freedom.

I want to go where I want.

Create what I want.

Love how I want.

Build a life that feels expansive instead of restrictive.

And sometimes that means reevaluating everything.

Is motherhood the way I was taught to do it for me?

Is marriage?

Is partnership?

Or do I need to reconstruct these things into something that actually aligns with my soul?

Will I find someone who desires that too?

Someone who doesn't want ownership, control, or confinement, but partnership, freedom, and devotion existing side by side?

Maybe tomorrow.

Maybe next year.

Maybe never.

And strangely, I'm becoming okay with not knowing.

Because for the first time in my life, I'm less concerned with finding the right person and more concerned with building the right life.

A life that feels like mine.

Not inherited.

Not programmed.

Not performed.

Chosen.

Maybe this chapter isn't about finding answers.

Maybe it's about having the courage to ask:

"If nobody told me who I was supposed to be...

Who would I become?"
